Arnoldo’s Story

Arnoldo was once a hardworking carpenter in San Lucas. But 5 years ago, he suffered a debilitating stroke, which left him with speech problems and limited mobility.

One of the greatest challenges in Arnoldo’s life was his living situation. He lived in a makeshift house with crumbling walls and a rusty sheet metal roof. He had no plumbing, no doors, and no floor. The house was neither safe nor accessible for someone with his disabilities.

Thanks to donors like you, the San Lucas Mission stepped in to help. The Mission built a home uniquely designed to meet Arnoldo’s special needs.

Arnoldo expresses immense gratitude, saying, “Before, I lived in constant fear of the walls and roof collapsing. I was always anxious about my situation. Thanks to the donors, I now have a dignified roof over my head and I can live more comfortably. I feel safe and valued. I don’t have the words to thank you.”

Arnoldo’s story is a testament to the impact of donors like you. His life has transformed from fear and instability to security and hope.

Today we’re asking for your support to help more individuals like Arnoldo. There are dozens of families on the waiting list for a home. By making a donation, you can turn despair into hope, providing safe and dignified homes for those in desperate need.

This week only, your donation will be doubled. Thank you for your generosity!
