#SanLucasStrong

We knew we could count on you to come through for San Lucas at a crucial time! Because of you, we exceeded our $30,000 stretch goal for the #SanLucasStrong campaign and nearly reached $40,000. We are astounded by your generosity. Thank you.

Cornonavirus/Covid 19 Update

After extensive consultation and discussion with Mission leaders in San Lucas and US medical and public health professionals, Friends of San Lucas has decided to suspend all non-essential travel to the Mission, effective immediately. Medical and surgical groups will be examined on a case-by-case basis and will be informed as to whether they should continue with their plans to travel to San Lucas.

But 1963 proved a historic year for the people of San Lucas.

A Successful San Lucas Gala!

On September 28th, more than 350 people gathered together for the annual Celebrate San Lucas Gala in Mankato, Minnesota. We enjoyed live music, dinner, auctions, and inspirational speakers. In total we raised $140,000 to serve the people of San Lucas Tolimán.

A Special Visit

This week our coffee program had a very special visit from Dulce Barrera. Dulce is a three-time national tasting champion and a three-time world champion.

Meet Marta, Our Grower of the Month!

Our First Hybrid Home

In June, we dedicated our first “hybrid” house. Part block and part wood and designed by Mission staff, it will last longer than the all-wood homes and be cheaper to build than all-block homes.
