Visitor Program
The purpose of the Visitor Program is to provide opportunities for relationship building, learning, and to experience the culture of San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala.
Individuals and groups travel from all over the world to experience San Lucas and to learn more about mission programs. Service projects can be arranged if visitors are interested, typically in collaboration with the construction program or coffee picking and processing (available from December – February).
Through meeting community members and experiencing the area, visitors can learn about the richness of Maya culture, the work of the Mission, and life in Guatemala. Although a week or two may only offer a glimpse into a different world, there is much to be learned about the turbulent and complex history of Guatemala, the Maya people, and the community development efforts of the Mission.
Please Note
Registration is now open to visit in 2023! Please email the Visitor Program Director with any questions about the application process.
