CHAPTER SEVEN:
A Glimpse of Mission History
The January 1971 newsletter explains how Minnesotans walking for development raised funds to build houses in San Lucas Tolimán. A recipient of a home shared about the incredible impact that dignified housing can have on a family, and how the generosity of stateside supporters will make this possible for many more Guatemalan families. He was right. Today, the Mission builds about 100 homes per year. These homes can transform a family’s life for generations to come.
